Patterns You Make, Bingo Games You Win
Bingo games are present almost anywhere as no other game is. There are bingo halls in malls, in casinos, and now, on the internet. Churches organize bingo games, and even teachers are using bingo cards now to teach children word-spelling. Why the bingo craze?
Bingo is a game where players race to create a pattern on their bingo card. In order to create a pattern, numbers on their card must hit. Meaning, it must match numbers on the balls that are drawn in random from a vessel.
Bingo games are played on a card with a grid numbering 25 squares. Each column of squares is topped with the letters B-I-N-G-O. Column B may bear any five numbers from 1 to 15; column I from 16 to 30; column N may bear any 4 numbers from 31 to 45 (the middle box is a free space); column G from 46 to 60; and column O from 61 to 75. The most common way to play bingo is to create horizontal, diagonal, and vertical patterns. Whoever creates a pattern first, wins. Other bingo game variants include coverall, cross, diamond, four corners, and winner's circle.
To win coverall, a player wins if they are the first to have a hit for all the numbers on their card. If no one bingos within 41 drawing of balls, the jackpot money is reduced in amount.
In cross, a winner is declared if all the numbers of the middle column and middle row hit. The pattern intersects the free space in the center.
In diamond, numbers creating a diamond pattern must hit.
In four corners, the numbers at the corners of the card must hit.
In winner's circle, a winner is declared if all the numbers of the first and fifth (B and O) columns and all the numbers of the first and fifth rows hit.
In land-based bingo, it is considered unethical to create noises like talking to other players and making or taking a cellphone call. In online bingo games, however, online chatting is practiced and part of the fun of playing online bingo.
It is not difficult to understand why bingo games have become phenomenal both on the internet and on land. It is easy to play and requires no strategy or skill.
